The Students & Veterans of Naropa is empowering the students and student veterans of Naropa University. Our chapter and its members are reaching national heights through our proudly hosted collaborative events, community initiatives, and provided career opportunities.
As Naropa's first chapter we are committed to helping the student body and its veterans heal, grow and change the world.

To empower students and student veterans in their personal journeys by providing access to resources, community support, and holistic development opportunities.
With focus on supporting the unique needs of student veterans, while leveraging the university’s emphasis on contemplative education and community engagement. Students & Veterans of Naropa is oriented towards collective healing and individual growth.
Funding Sources: University support, contributions from veteran-friendly businesses, membership fees and fundraising events.
Allocations: Towards program development, wellness initiatives, event hosting, grants, scholarships, SVA conference attendance and travel expenses.
Objective: Foster a supportive network of SVA members to ease the transition from military to civilian life.
Activities: Regular group meetings, one-on-one mentorship pairings, and veteran-led workshops.
Objective: Promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being through mindfulness practices and holistically focused retreats.
Activities: Yoga and meditation classes, mental health support groups, and stress reduction seminars.
Objective: Equip students and student veterans with the skills and connections needed to succeed in the workforce in addition to increasing job placement rates and career advancement opportunities for SVA members.
Activities: Resume building workshops, career fairs with veteran-friendly employers, and networking events.
Objective: Encourage SVA members to apply their leadership and skills through community service and environmental projects.
Activities: Volunteer initiatives with local non-profits, eco-restoration tasks, and leadership opportunities in community planning.
Objective: Provide tailored academic support to address the unique challenges faced by student veterans.
Activities: Aid Student Veterans with navigating their service connected education benefits to set them up for success.

Not at all, the SVA is open to all persons; students, veterans, alumni, staff, faculty, and even the greater Boulder community.
Full time enrolled students of Naropa University and Chapter members are eligible for Presidential Positions. Time enrolled, GPA, and date of graduation are all factored into consideration.
The Student Veterans of America® National Conference (“NatCon”) is the largest gathering of student veterans anywhere in the world. With SVA chapters at nearly 1,600 campuses across the U.S. and in several countries abroad, NatCon serves as a focal point in the academic year to share ideas, best practices, and network with veteran and military-affiliated students, their families, supporters, and allies, as well as corporate, government, and nonprofit partners, and more!
This conference is recommended for all current chapter leaders, future chapter leaders, chapter members, and university faculty, staff, and administration involved in the chapter. The networking opportunities combined with the lessons delivered are sure to help our chapters become successful and sustainable for those who come after us.
The event allows Student Veterans of America® (SVA) chapter members to make their voices heard in the heart of our Nation’s capital. Chapter members will have the chance to share their experience as student veterans with their elected officials, attend a joint hearing of Congress to watch SVA present its policy priorities, network, and experience the rich history of Washington, DC
This premier student leadership experience brings together our country’s top chapter leaders through an immersive experience designed to equip tomorrow’s leaders to serve and create a lasting community of impact.
Chapter members reconnect with themselves with the empowering guidance of the Shipibo people. Learning first hand how to connect with their ancestral roots through the guidance and healing of plant medicine.
