Warrior Storyfield

The Warrior Storyfield mission is to build and create a sanctuary, a sacred environment, where veterans can share their stories of going to war, service, and the experience of coming home. To speak the unspoken, to speak the unspeakable. Through the expression of art, the StoryField provides a bridge between the Warrior experience and the civilian community to honor those who served, those living, and their journey of returning. It is a sacred space where non-veterans can come to listen, learn, and share their journey.

American Legion Post 10

The American Legion is the largest wartime veterans service organization with 2.4 million members in nearly 14,000 posts in nearly every community in America. The Legion, established by an act of Congress in 1919, was instrumental in getting the original GI Bill through Congress and the creation of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Veteran Readiness and Employment

The Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) program, also referred to as Chapter 31, provides support and services to Veterans and service members with service-connected disabilities. Veterans must have a 10% service connected disability to be eligible.

The program can help you:

  • Transition back to civilian life
  • Find employment, return to your former job, or start your own business
  • Get education or training for a professional or vocational field that’s a good fit for you
  • Receive independent living services if you can’t return to work right away

Learn more about VR&E from our orientation, and decide if it’s right for you.
